I just celebrated my first wedding anniversary. In case you were wondering, the traditional gift for a first anniversary is paper. I’m not sure if this means you are supposed to give a single sheet of printer paper to your spouse or a stack of fancy monogrammed stationary or a lifetime supply of paper grocery bags. In any event, this got me curious about the traditional gifts for each anniversary year. The results were somewhat surprising.
